FLOWERS:  Special thanks to all parents who ordered and/or sold flowers to others.  The profit earned is not figured yet. However, we plan to put the profit towards  hand dryers to help Evergreen go Evergreener!   The Church  is running into unexpected problems with the running of electric to the necessary locations.   If anyone has skills or knowledge in this area, please share this information with us!  Remember, flower pick up is Thursday and Friday, May  1-2  in Brethren Hall.  Checks are to be made out to the “BEAVERCREEK CHURCH OF THE BRETHREN”.  Through your help we continue to make improvements to the building and playground to benefit the children.  THANKS SO MUCH!

INVITATIONS:  Parents of children in the morning classes should have already received their end of the year program invitations.  If you did not, please see your child’s teacher.  All programs will be from 11:00-11:30.  Hopefully, parents who work can plan a break in their day to attend at this time.  If it is impossible for you to attend, please feel free to invite another special person to attend for your child.  These programs are really important to the children, even though we keep them simple and short.  Also, note that the day of your child’s program may not necessarily fall on your child’s normal day to attend.

END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR:  We have various picnics and fun activities planned for the month.  Please check the “Dates to Remember” below very carefully. We will be closed Monday, May 26th for Memorial Day.   May 27-28th will be the last days of preschool and kindergarten.  May 29 - June 3rd, we will be open for day care only.  Then, Wednesday, June 4th will be the first day of the summer session.

FEES:  Summer fees will begin the week of June 2nd.  School year fees will begin the week of  August 25th.  See your “Fee Agreement” if you need clarification or ask Jill.

INDIVIDUALIZED DEVELOPMEMTAL PLAN:  If your child has an individual plan  (IEP) on file with Beavercreek Schools, or any other individual plan (such as speech therapy)  please  bring us a copy  of the plan for our files.  We are required by State regulations to have a copy  so that we too can help to meet your child’s  needs.

MARCH FOR BABIES:  Thanks to those parents and staff who donated to the March of Dimes walk.  We always have a great time in the name of a good cause.

PICNIC TIME:  The Church’s annual  “Pick Me Up Picnic”  will  be Thursday, the 22nd.  We will also have games set up in the field for families to enjoy.  The Church has planned this Picnic as a fund raiser for their youth group at the end of each school year.    The food is delicious and includes grilled pork loin/hamburgers; side dishes; drinks and deserts.  Take out meals are also available.  Meals are $3.50 (children) and $7.00 (adults).  Drinks and deserts are extra.   So please stop by  between 5:00-7:00 for food and fun.
